💼 Role Description
Our Chief Payment Officer manages our payment infrastructure and relationships with payment processors.
He oversees negotiations, performance monitoring, and the payment infrastructure strategy
This mission aims to support him in the structuring and optimization of this function — particularly around optimizing acceptance rates, chargeback management, and long-term scalability.
You’ll act as a trusted sparring partner, bringing strategic insight, best practices, and external perspective to help elevate our global payments strategy.

Experience
Strategic Payment Structuring
- Led or advised on complex payment strategies within B2C subscription-based businesses, ideally in SaaS or digital product environments with high transaction volumes and multi-currency operations
- Proven ability to design and optimize payment architectures balancing reliability, acceptance rates, and cost efficiency
- Strong understanding of how payment performance connects to conversion rates, customer retention, and churn management
- Skilled at translating technical and financial insights into actionable business recommendations
Partnership & Vendor Management
- Extensive experience working with payment service providers (PSPs)
- Expertise in structuring partnerships, defining performance KPIs, and finding the key partners for our business.
- Track record in building scalable payment ecosystems by aligning product, finance, and tech stakeholders
Risk Management & Optimization
- Hands-on experience implementing or improving risk management frameworks, including chargeback reduction, fraud control, and payment reliability monitoring
- Capable of identifying root causes and designing process improvements that strengthen payment integrity and support scalability
- Confident acting as a strategic sparring partner, constructively challenging ideas and contributing to technical, product, and business discussions
Soft Skills
- You are result-oriented and analytical, with a structured and pragmatic mindset.You communicate clearly and can simplify complex topics for cross-functional teams.
- You bring curiosity, humility, and a collaborative spirit — combining expertise with a hands-on, solutions-driven attitude.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of PSPs, payment APIs, card tokens, dunning, smart retries and recurring billing mechanics
- Strong grasp of conversion, risk, and compliance management
- Product and business sensitivity (impact on LTV, churn, etc.)
